Krista Benton, AKBD, Named to the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s 30 Under 30 Program

Orren Pickell Building Group proudly announces that Krista Benton, Lead Cabinet Designer at CabinetWerks Design Studio, has been selected as one of the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s (NKBA) 2015 top 30 Under 30. The NKBA honor acknowledges outstanding young professionals while helping them to immerse and apply themselves to new opportunities for growth and development in support of the industry.
“It is an honor to be recognized amongst such a talented group of individuals by the National Kitchen & Bath Association,” said Krista Benton. “Being part of the 30 Under 30 program will allow me to continue strengthening my skills and provide an opportunity to learn more from other young design professionals.”
Krista, along with the other 30 Under 30 candidates, will participate in the gathering of information and opinions, and present their finding during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS®) taking place in Las Vegas January 20-22, 2015. KBIS is an interactive platform that showcases the latest industry products, trends, and technologies. KBIS is co-locating with the International Builders Show (IBS) under Design & Construction week. This year, the event is expected to welcome over 125,000 residential design and construction professionals.

Krista graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the CIDA accredited Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg in 2006. Over the past several years she has earned her AKBD, Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer, designation from the NKBA and has also received her Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation from the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). As the lead cabinet designer at CabinetWerks Design Studio, a division of Orren Pickell Building Group, Krista is responsible for the design, drawings, ordering, as well as overseeing the install for every project. She also leads the showroom’s educational design and build seminars.
